Setting Up Micro

Install Artec Studio

You must install drivers for Micro before connecting it to your computer.

  1. Open my.artec3d and download Artec Installation Center.

  2. Install Artec Installation Center on your computer and launch it.

    Caution

    Ensure that Micro is disconnected from your computer.

  3. Click Install near the Artec Studio label as the Artec Studio manual describes.

  4. Select the Artec Micro drivers.

  5. Finish installation.

Connect Cables

  1. Plug the power-adapter cable into the scanner’s DC IN port located in the rear side of Micro.
 
  1. Plug the other end of the power-adapter into a power outlet.
 
  1. Insert the USB cable into scanner’s USB port.

  1. Connect the other end of the USB cable to a USB 3.0 port on your computer.
    Hint: USB 3.0 ports often have blue inserts.
 
  1. Turn on the computer.
 
  1. Toggle the power switch to turn on the scanner.

About Jigs

Install Jig

All jigs have magnetic locks. To fixate a jig, follow the steps:

  1. Align the hemispherical bosses with the corresponding holes.
    Note: Half-spacer (nondetachable) has three bosses. The other spacers and the screw jig have only two bosses.
  2. Put the jig on the table
  3. Repeat the steps if you need to install another jig.

Remove Jig

To release the installed jig, press the button. The slope will go up increasing the space between jigs and reducing the magnetic force.
