Saving Scans

If you plan to work with the scan data in Artec Studio, store them:

  1. Click the Save Scans button.
  2. Enter the folder name, specify destination folder and click Save
  3. The application will create the folder with scans stored in designated folders (scan-0, scan-1).

Hint

If you don’t want to export a specific scan, delete it by clicking the trash button.

Exporting Models

If you want to export model in a universal format, opt for Export models.

  1. Select the model you want to export
  2. Click Export Models
  3. ScanApp™ will export model in the OBJ format.

You can view OBJ models in various software packages, including MeshLab.

Known Issues

  • After you select or clear the Render Texture in Preview checkbox in the View menu, you should click the scan in the Scan panel to apply changes.
  • Quitting ScanApp™ by using the Cmd + Q combination will not prompt you to save your scans and models. For a safe closing, use the Close button (close_osx).
  • You cannot view all scans simultaneously in the 3D View window.
